Angel Treat: Bread Pudding


Do you want to do something creative with your day old angel food cake, but not quite sure what to do? Well we gave your regular bread pudding a heavenly hint with your angel food cake. This pudding with put a smile on your face and your stomach will be begging for another bowl full. Plus it can’t be any easier to bake.



Ingredients
1 Medium Angel Heart Almond Cake sliced into 20 small pieces
1/3 cup of your favorite Jam (I used Wild Plum a friend had made me)
3 cups of milk
3 eggs; beaten
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Extra sugar for sprinkling

Preheat oven to 325F. 
Spread jam on one side of each slice of the cake then sandwich two slices together and in a greased 9” by 5” deep pan, squish them in. 
In a separate bowl mix together milk, whisked eggs, sugar and vanilla until combined. Then pour on top of the cake slices and make sure to thoroughly coat each piece and let it soak for 3 minutes. Then sprinkle the extra sugar on top.
Add dish to a larger baking tray. Then pour hot water to come halfway up the side of the dish and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until pudding has set. Allow to stand for 5 minutes and serve warm. Serves 6.
